About Polidata
Polidata is a specialist technology company helping smaller organisations use AI safely, strengthen cyber resilience, and get more value from Microsoft platforms they already use.
Secure AI and Cyber Security belong in the same conversation.
AI creates new ways to work, but it also changes the risk model. Polidata brings Secure AI and AI Cyber Security together so clients can adopt useful automation, protect sensitive data, and improve security operations without building a large enterprise technology function.
Who we work with and what we help with.
Most clients are small to mid-sized teams that need enterprise-grade thinking, but delivered in a way that fits their budget, maturity, and operating reality.
Regulated SMEs
Financial services, wealth management, professional services, and other data-sensitive teams that need stronger controls without enterprise overhead.
Microsoft-first environments
Organisations already using Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel, or Graph and wanting better value from that platform base.
Secure AI adoption
Private AI foundations, model hardening, knowledge systems, and agentic workflows that are designed around governance and measurable value.
Cyber security uplift
Risk assessment, Microsoft security deployment, AI-assisted monitoring, and vCISO or vCTO support for teams that need practical operating discipline.
Founder
Polidata is led by Pieter Snyman, with a practical bias toward systems that work, controls that can be operated, and AI that earns its place in the business.

Pieter Snyman
Founder and CEO, Polidata
Pieter started Polidata to help organisations ask better technology questions and turn the answers into working systems. His work sits where data, AI, software engineering, cyber security, and executive decision support overlap.
His background includes physics, mathematics, applied mathematics and computer science studies at North-West University, followed by hands-on delivery across analytics, cloud architecture, secure application development, Microsoft platforms, and cyber security. That mix shapes Polidata's delivery style: clear thinking, practical engineering, and cost-aware decisions.
Pieter also brings executive and management experience from work with Deutsche Bank and South African Airways. That perspective matters for Polidata's vCISO and vCTO services, where the work has to connect technical risk, commercial decisions, governance, and the operating reality of leadership teams.
The aim is not to make AI or security feel bigger than the business problem. It is to help clients build enough capability to move faster, reduce risk, and stay in control as their technology environment changes.
Team
Polidata's delivery team brings together senior architecture, engineering, data, cyber security, software, and design capability while keeping cyber security team members anonymous by design. Client work is supported by a blended team with practical capability across cloud architecture, cyber security, data platforms, software engineering, analytics, and user-centred delivery.
Architects: cloud, cyber security, and data
Senior architecture capability connects Microsoft cloud platforms, security controls, data estates, and AI workloads into designs that can be operated, governed, and improved over time.
Cloud engineers
Implementation engineers configure, automate, and support Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, monitoring, and platform services so designs become reliable production systems.
Data scientists and data engineers
Data specialists shape ingestion, modelling, analytics, AI context, and automation pipelines so clients can extract value from information without losing control of quality or security.
Cyber security analysts and engineers
Security specialists assess risk, harden environments, tune Microsoft security tooling, investigate signals, and help teams improve detection, response, and operational discipline.
Computer scientists and software engineers
Engineering specialists build secure applications, integrations, agentic workflows, APIs, and internal tooling with a bias toward maintainable systems and measurable business value.
Visualisation, design, and UX specialists
Design specialists turn complex data, risk, and workflow information into usable interfaces, dashboards, reports, and decision-support experiences that business users can understand quickly.
